Bastion Woobie

My favorite purchase in all of 2022 was probably my Bastion Woobie from Triple Aught Design. Essentially, it’s a remix of the old military wobbie utilizing better materials and the craftsmanship that TAD is known for.

My wife hates the damned thing, but it’s sooo cozy and sooo warm that frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn. I now own three of them.

Oh… but they are back in stock and won’t be for long, so if you have a hankering… get to it.

The Manx 2.0

Meyers Manx dune buggies are coveted bits of dune hardware that haven’t been made in over 60-years. Now, they are back… and all electric. Two models are available – the 20kWk (150 mile range) and the 40kWh (300 mile range).

I’m mostly concerned about weight. A proper dune buggy is light by necessity and batteries are heavy as hell…

No word on price yet.

Simple folding design. Light, but made of good materials. It’s no Eames Lounge Chair, but it’s not as uncomfortable as it looks. Just really good design.
