I work in a number of different locations and, as such, my every day bag holds and organizes a number of different items that I use daily. It’s just handy to keep all of that stuff in my bag so that I have it accessible while in the office or on the road. However, that does create a problem in that my bag needs to be easily handled and reached while in the office.
This isn’t necessarily related to EDC, but does help you keep your EDC goods in order. It’s a simple idea that needs funding – It’s the Switch Hook. Essentially, the Switch Hook is a receptacle cover with hooks towards the bottom that allow you to store things like your key chain, bag, etc… Brilliant idea from a young mind.

So this guy in Portland has an online store that he stocks with classic EDC goods as well as stuff he comes up with and produces on his own. It’s all quite inspirational really… But the real gold mine here is his blog. I love watching and reading about the way creative people work. Check it out.

Remodelista recently ran a little article on their favorite scissors… It’s a function meets form kind of thing. I don’t why, but I love scissors.
This isn’t exactly on topic, but I thought the theory behind the above airstream fit with the basic idea of EDC. It’s a small space that’s prepared for just about anything… and, of course, it’s mobile. The incredible design work is just a perk.
