Simply brilliant. Some guy with too much time on his hands screen captures every clear shot ever taken of Mr. Bond’s timepiece. Classically cool fellas…

FlipSync iPhone Cable

This is brilliant. How often do you need a cable for your iPhone while on the run? Seems like I’m always looking for one. FlipSync came up with this solution… It looks like a key fob, but flips apart to reveal an Apple dock connection on one side and a USB on the other. Of course, they also make one with all kinds of different standard and mini-USB connections – handy for connecting cameras, drives, etc…

I love this idea.

$20 is pretty spendy, but worth it the first time one of these save ya.

Perfect for stowing away guns, cash, or even food for when the end of the word comes…

Craziness.

Gerber’s Latest

The trend in affordable daily blades these days seems to be multi-functionality, but in a sleeker package than your typical Swiss Army package. The AO FAST 3.0 is the latest from Gerber that flaunts such sensibilities. It’s a $75 knife that features assisted opening, a bottle opener, and a built in carabiner. I bought one out of curiosity and can report typical Gerber manufacturing quality, but I’m not a fan of the size. It’s a little big (5.3″ closed) and heavy (4.91 Oz) for pocket carry, but I guess that’s what the carabiner is for. It would make a great pack carry blade for you outdoor freaks.

The Quirky Switch

switch

This is pretty bitchin’… Quirky put their noggins towards developing a modular multi-tool. They came up with the Switch, which is essentially a folding tool with interchangeable bits. Depending on your needs and the size of the tool you want to carry, you simply add or omit bits. Ingenious… I wonder if it’s as durable or reliable as a Leatherman?

I think I’ll order one and report back.

The iPad

I admit it… I folded the minute that Apple announced the pre-order date and my iPad showed up on my door step on the release date. I’ve had a couple of weeks with the device now and I’m pretty damned impressed. Which is saying something as to be honest, I had no idea what I was ordering when I ordered it. Was this a laptop replacement? A giant iPhone? Or something different all together?

jeep

Admittedly, I’m not a “new” car kind of guy. I drive a ’39 Ford everyday. However, something about these military prepped Jeeps just sings to my sensibilities. No fuss, no muss… just functionality. I dig that in all of my every day gear.

Wood Shock

wood

How’s this for inventive? Take a G-Shock, ditch the part that makes it so indestructible and encase the hole shebang in wood. I’m not sure I get it… at all…
