The Magic Keyboard from Apple is uber expensive, but also the best solution for making your iPad function more like a laptop. It does, however, have two shortfalls:

  1. It provides very little protection to your iPad.
  2. In order to return the iPad back to tablet mode, you have to ditch the keyboard all together – leaving your iPad entirely naked.

I’ve found an interesting solution. Pitaka makes a super slim carbon fiber case that allows your tablet to be covered while in or out of the magic keyboard. Seiko just dropped their latest Speedtimer and it’s almost perfect. The 42mm case size is a bit big for my taste, but there’s no day/date window to deal with and it features Seiko’s first analog quartz chronograph movement. Hell, it’s solar powered…

The Courier Pant

I’m not super into boutique fashion brands, but these pants are something else. They are built from shipyard canvas and made like a brick shit house. I don’t care what you do to them, they just don’t wear out… Cheapish in the long run.
