The Pipe Dream

So someone asked me the other day what my dream watch was. Practically speaking, I own it… The Sinn 856. However, if you throw practicality out the window and assume intrinsic value is meaningless, I would have to go with the Rolex Submariner. But not just any Submariner – The Military Submariner. It’s not a practical choice simply because Rolex MilSubs go for around $50,000 these days, but what tugs at the soul more than a mil-spec vintage piece?

Muji Hard Carry Suitcases

To make up for my early post on “flippy floppies,” how about a set of bad ass suitcases tough enough for the harshest of assignments? Muji cases hold up to 72 liters of gear and are literally indestructible. Best part? They aren’t that pricey for what they are. $240

Gerber Mini Covert Auto

This is a relatively new release from Gerber that I just heard about today. It’s a mini auto for around $100. You can’t beat that with a stick… The blade is a hair under 3-inches and when closed the whole shit-and-kabang is under 4.

Hazard 4

I’m not really much of a tactical guy, but I like looking at all of the mil-spec packs and what not offered by small companies with ingenuity. One new company that I’ve seen mentioned a lot lately on the forums and blogs of the world is Hazard 4. I know nothing about them other than what I’ve read on their site, but I figured their popularity was worth mentioning here.
