I don’t normally feature cars/trucks here… but GMC just launched the new Sierra and it’s pretty rad. It’s got a carbon fiber bed (why?!) and all sorts of other fancy doo-dads, but the coolest is the tailgate.

I’ve actually been thinking about building a desk with similar features. I typically like ply-wood construction, but something is pulling me to work with hardwoods lately and this project is perfect for it. Plus, the hidden RFID compartments are just plain cool.
