The Best Board Shorts

Running my app again… and this one was hard to do because of all the variations with board shorts, but according to the internet, the best board shorts in the world come from Birdwell. More specifically, the 808.

I, however, like to have a zippered pocket on my board shorts. In fact, it’s sort of a must for me. So, I had to dial in that stipulation. What did the internet have to say? The Outerknown Apex trunks by Kelly Slater.. at almost $150!!!

How about a trio $230 Bic Pens? No shit… Over two largish… for three Bic pens. No denying the beauty though. Pinel and Bic both have French roots, so it only makes sense that they are each done up in French colors…

SmallRig iPhone Cage

I’m on location doing some shoots at the moment and trying to stay as mobile as possible. So mobile, in fact, that I’m shooting entirely on my iPhone 12. My solution for audio and tripod mounts? A stupidly cheap cage from a company called SmallRig.

This thing just works.

Prime Day Find

Prime Day is a pain in the ass… You can find some great deals, but only if you are willing to pull the trigger immediately because the deals expire at random.

Thus far, my favorite deal is probably the 25% discount on the Fellow Ode Coffee Grinder. These things are expensive, never go on sale, and work better than anything else on the market. They are also built like a brick shit house.

Native Union Rise Dock

I’ve been keeping my eye on MagSafe development… Apple has done their typical conservative approach with accessories while the aftermarket has been more proactive in exploring the potential of the magnets. A big market, of course, is MagSage capable stands… This one from Native Union caught my eye as I’ve always appreciated the quality of their goods… and the aesthetics here seem to be on point.
