I shot Leica stuff almost exclusively for three years. Frankly, it was hard to do. Not because the equipment was bad (it was phenomenal), but because anything with a red dot is so oppressively expensive that I was almost afraid to take it anywhere. I’m over that now. I sold off my M9 and most of my Leica glass. In fact, the only German made camera stuff I have left is a film M6 and an old 50mm Cron from the glory days of Leica. I imagine I’ll take those two to the grave with me.
I’m typically not an Oris guy. I often find their face designs and UI to be a bit stale. However, this new Air Racing Edition has caught my imagination in a major way. It feels like an aircraft gauge, but it’s not an over done birthday cake. Just really well done…
I love cameras. I don’t really like phones all that much… Which is a shame, because amateur photography is quickly headed towards a merger with the cell phone. And frankly, it only makes sense. The concept above leaked by Sony is where we will be in a few short years. I can already see myself yearning for a “simple” digital camera.

So I wanted a single AA torch for everyday carry… I ordered 10 different flashlights with prices ranging from $10 to $100 and at the end of the day, I discovered that this Fenix E11 is the best light for me. From a cost/performance standpoint, it’s damned hard to beat. Light and bright – what else would ya want?

Expensive… But damn these are nice camera straps by Tap & Dye. While a Gordy is perfect for your modern digital or film M6, these more archaic straps would fit perfectly on your M3. Pretty damned cool.
