My favorite backpack is probably the GoRuck GR2. BUT, the Evergoods CPL24 has always been a close second. One of the things that has always kept it from the top spot is the 840D nylon used in its construction. It gathers dust, hair, and other crap like a magnet of sorts… and soon looks rougher than I’d like.

Today though… The CPL24 is launched in X-pac – my absolute favorite material for a pack.

You want a mechanical device that will last at least two lifetimes and you only want to spend $1500? Sounds impossible, right?

It’s not… The Sinn 556 is your answer. It’s a German made tool watch that is made like a brick shit house with a proven movement and, in my opinion, the best aesthetic on the market. The only thing keeping it from absolute perfection is that it features a date window… and I prefer clean “no date” faces.

Still… Starting at around $1300, you will not find a better a watch than this. Period.

Leica M11 Monochrom

The new Monochrom just dropped. I’m sure the file are gorgeous and full of Leica character/contrast, but man… I hate Leica for doing shit like this and then charging $9k for it. Real street photographers, the people that actually care about this camera, will never be able to use it.
