Thinksport Bottle

When I presented the brand spanking new gearjournal.com to a doctor pal of mine, he mentioned that he knew someone with a product worth reviewing. “A friend of mine is producing this super trick water bottle that not only houses all kinds of technological accomplishments, but is incredibly health conscious as well,” he said. A water bottle with tech and health features? I wasn’t sure what he meant, but contacted the company and had one sent out to me for review anyway.

Unfold

A buddy of mine recently scored this bag and while it’s a bit pricy ($285) and certainly a little more “hip” than I like my bags to be, there is no denying the fact that it is versatile and extremely well made. If you need a bag that is a bit less tactical and a little more professional looking, but still has a lot of storage options this one might be a good choice.

Check it out.

T.A.D. Gear Brat

I don’t have one of these in hand to review, but stumbled across someone that did recently and had to post a link. T.A.D. Gear is one of those companies that has more than customers, they have fans. And it’s that way for a reason – they make GREAT products.

Check this little bugger out.

LUM-TECH Combat B1

04

Another day, another watch… This time, I thought I would review one of my latest – The LUM-TECH Combat B1. The B1 is a military inspired piece with a 17-jewel mechanical movement. It features a bead blasted PVD case that measures 43mm excluding the crown and the absolutely incredible LUM-TECH SuperLum. It’s built like I like my watches to be built – like a tank.

The WiseCracker

ahrens

This isn’t necessarily on-topic to the journal, but I ran into a guy last week with an incredibly inventive mind. It was one of those “small world” stories where he knew one of my pals and that sparked a conversation. Eventually that lead to the brand new Gear Journal and he popped this “WiseCracker” thing out of his pocket thinking I would be interested.

I was.

Plastic Bins Wire Shelving

We are absolute gear junkies hear at the journal... And when we find things that we can't live with out, we will make sure you know about them. Here's just a few of our favorite gadgets:

  • Boker Sucbcom

The best thing about these little knives is their size – thin and blunt. They don’t look like much, but these sharps couldn’t be any more handy. Dirt cheap too… Check em’ out.

  • Booq Python

I love a good tactical bag, but some times you have to be a little more subtle. Our favorite civilian? The Booq Python. Read more about this beast here.

  • Leatherman Micra

We’ve had a ton of multi-tools and can confidently say that the Micra is the best of the bunch in the “mini” category. Handy tools and a great base for a full custom key chain piece. Details here.

  • Marathon TSAR

Want a watch that will take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’? You can’t beat a Marathon TSAR. Built like a tank and priced decently. Check it out.
