Just recieved my 8" hunter made from a Farrier's File...outstanding, and very dramatic as both sides are very different. A farrier's file really has one side cut as a rasp, makes for a really interesting design, I would think impossible to duplicate any other way...

Here's a couple of shots of the Morris Hunter, made from a farrier's file, one side of which is really a coarse rasp. Makes for a dramatic finish to the blade, and the obverse side is very nice as well. the hand sewn sheath is also shown, and is also top notch. Had a blacksmith shop years ago and drew out the ends of my files into hooks, and there is one in the background...will see if Michael can make that into a knife too. Closeups are not so good , so you get what you get , I guess.
