We all have a favorite. Mine is Panerai. I love Panerai's.
While I like everything from Gshocks to Patek, I always reach to the Pam177. |

I am a Rolex fan. I have had my Submariner for about 25 years now. Never a problem.

Had a couple Rolexes but got tired of being pulled-over by airport Customs. Settled on the plainest black Victorinox Renegade I could find. About $120. Put a black elephant band on it and called it done.

All good choices.
That Citizen would have my eyes go crazy. One of the "must have" criteria in my watch buying is a easy to read face. I would need to look at that for 10-15 sec.s to get the time. |

My favorite is the Swiss Army Original. I bought my old man one when Victorinox first started selling timepieces and he bought me the same watch when I graduated high school. It's a brand that we've both always had an affinity to and it's cool to know that he still wears his 20 years later and mine is going on 12 years. Even my boss wears an Original most of the time.

Damn. Last week the leather strap on my Dad's watch (mentioned above) came off in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming on a motorcycle ride. He didn't even notice. Watch is gone forever.
I think if he wasn't a part of a group, he probably would have turned around and spent days searching that 135 mi stretch of road where it happened. |

My favorite watch is a 21 jewel Hamilton Railway Special that my dad gave me when I turned 18. He said he bought used in 1960. Syill keeps good time.

Mine is an ARA built by a father and son in Canada. Arthur and Richard Lupu. Nice automatic swiss eta 2824 movement, heavy case, nice band all for about $450.00 us.
Can't be beat in my opinion. They have a VERY GOOD warranty and service what they sell. Not to mention that they TALK to you when you have an issue. Here you go http://www.masterwatchmaker.net/arablacklargedial.htm Check them out, you WON'T be disappointed. |

I've worn a wenger mountaineer for the past 3 years that I purchased on a closeout for 50 bucks, and aside from replacing the leather band with a black silicone one and replacing the battery once, it's survived everything I've thrown at it. It's probably the best watch I've owned...
