The world famous Lamy has reissued what is often considered to be the best fountain pen ever mass-produced – the Lamy 2000. They are only selling 3.300 of them and the price follows the logic, but damn man… These things are gorgeous.

CWT has updated their Pen Type-C with a new range of Cerakote finishes. If you are unfamiliar, these are titanium pens with a super thin profile – allowing easier attachments to things like notebooks or even wallets. They look as though they would absolutely suck in the hand, but they actually don’t feel too bad. And, of course, they are made incredibly well. I keep one clipped to the sun visor of my truck and have so for years.

In the world of mechanical pencil manufacturing, the bar for durability was set long ago by a Scripto P369. Lots of pencils are more comfortable to use, have tighter lead tolerances, and just flat out work better. BUT, no one has ever really dethroned the P369 as the most durable.

As we wade through a world of planned obsolescence, we have to deal with the fact that shit like this isn’t profitable to make anymore.

Thankfully, you can still pick one up on eBay for relatively cheap. Just remember, you are going to lose this thing before it breaks…
