Mk II Watches

blackwater

As you all know, I’m a watch freak. Mostly, I’m into both modern and vintage military watches. The great thing about vintage military watches is the feeling they give on the wrist – you are wearing history. Of course, some of those watches just don’t keep on tickin…

The great thing about modern military watches is that some of them are absolutely indestructible. Sure, they don’t give the same feeling of history as a vintage watch and some of them look a little too gadgety to my eye, but their functionality is hard to beat.

Enter Mk II watches. Essentially, these guys custom build watches to your order using a menu based system. They feature vintage inspired cases and modern movements. I’m in love with the Blackwater pictured above. Maybe you can find something you dig.

Check them out.

We are absolute gear junkies hear at the journal... And when we find things that we can't live with out, we will make sure you know about them. Here's just a few of our favorite gadgets:

  • Boker Sucbcom

The best thing about these little knives is their size – thin and blunt. They don’t look like much, but these sharps couldn’t be any more handy. Dirt cheap too… Check em’ out.

  • Booq Python

I love a good tactical bag, but some times you have to be a little more subtle. Our favorite civilian? The Booq Python. Read more about this beast here.

  • Leatherman Micra

We’ve had a ton of multi-tools and can confidently say that the Micra is the best of the bunch in the “mini” category. Handy tools and a great base for a full custom key chain piece. Details here.

  • Marathon TSAR

Want a watch that will take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’? You can’t beat a Marathon TSAR. Built like a tank and priced decently. Check it out.
